Psalmryder out!

Monday, March 23, 2009

Well here I am again a few minutes later. Well hopefully I will have a logo for the PSALMRYDERS blog. I have a friend I mentioned a design I would like drawn. I consider him a good friend and when I found out he can draw,,sweet bonus!!! I asked him to hook me up. Where would we all be if our friends haven't "hooked us up". So remember when a friend needs help, help him/her if you can. My friend Shon has a gift of drawing. He has shown me some of his work and I think they're pretty phat. Shon says he hasn't been drawing for a minute, so I think my request to him will hopefully get him motivated to start drawing or at least practicing again. So my friend Shon, we all here at PSALMRYDERS will have to sit logoless until you pick up that lazy hand and get it going!! My wife says my gift is that I talk like a girl,,on, and on and on,,,. Whatever!!! So anywho,,,I believe that God has given us many gifts, and if we fail to use them,,then what? Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast. What would happen if we didn't take and use this gift from God? I believe we would be in a very not nice place, probably a very hot place. Here in 1PEDRO4:8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. 11If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. I think that is all that needs to be said of using our gifts.
Like my cousin from IARETHEFOODSNOB
her gift is writing, boy she can write, in my humble non-writing opinion. She keeps me captivated about the new food and places she goes to eat! keep it going cuz,,,,You ROCK!!! I love the way she writes and not because she's family. Hey cuz hows that other writing you have been wanting to do? Life is too short and God has given us this time here on earth to live to our full potential. So within reason don't quit your day job and get started on something you have wanted to do or get started using your gift. Of course it may feel scary or uncomfortable at first but just do it!!! hence my lil blog here. I don't have a clue how to write or begin to put together a ministry such as PSALMRYDERS, if you want to call it a ministry. At least I'm trying,,,so come on people Seek the face of the Lord and see and hear what he is telling you!!! PSALMRYDER-out!!!

Oh yeah almost forgot to tell ya I brought some new gloves too, there from POWERTRIP,the grand national model. I have medium sized hands and compared to all you regular human beings short fingers. I paid around $50.00 bucks for these and they feel great and the fingers are ok for me. I think they look pretty tight! I haven't used them yet so we'll see. I had some mesh icon gloves before and they have begun to split on the right hand by the thumb. It was good for ventilation but I decided to go all leather, because I love my 10 fingers. I'll let you know how they are ridin'. Later for now,,,Psalmryder, out!

nyc trip

Hey everybody , went to NYC this weekend and had a blast w/ family and friends. We went to the museum of natural history, that place is huge. I also caught up w/ some friends. All in all a good weekend. I give it to you guys and gals who ride out there in nyc. I would like to but,, them friggin' potholes are killer. Seriously I have to take a trip up there on my moto though. There are so many places to see. I think just to ride on a moto up there & survive would be an experience, we on 2 wheels would have to do! I was able to take the moto out the last two weeks only a couple of times. One day I just took my kids around my development. My kids love it. Well looking over my moto, I am in desperate need of a front new tire. I will be buying a SHINKO "advance" tire, to match my rear tire which I brought last year heres a pic of the tires.

I brought and installed the rear tire here locally. I went to HOVEY PERFORMANCE CYCLES 1480 east lebanon rd dover de 302-697-7446. The times I have used him he was a straight up guy and prices are good. If you go tell him you heard about him from here at PSALMRYDERS
the SHINKO's are pretty good, I brought them last year halfway through the summer if I remember correctly. A very decent tire for around town driving. I don't really do any hard driving or stunts, so I don't know how they would handle in those situations. So now I'm going to order the front Shinko advance tire from Hovey pretty soon.

If your wondering what it is here it goes

I thought it would be cool to see it in other languages,,cool huh?,,,well I thought it would be ;)

Psalmryder out

Hey

Hey did anyone go riding on sunday? I rode to church it was good day to ride. I was going to ride afterwards but I decided to stay w/ the family and hangout. Being couped up this whole winter and then go riding sounds nice but I think staying w/ the family is better. So we took our bicycles out and went around the development. I did wind up taking the kids for a ride on the moto around the development. So all in all it was a fun day. I will be trying to contact more churches w/ moto riders. I went to a bible study the other day and mentioned it to my friend. So I'll see if he has anyone interested in doing a interview. What I would hope to get out of these interviews is to give God glory and to show others, that christians also have different interests and that it is ok. I would also like to help others by showing them that we can go through certain rough parts in our lifes and God will see us through. I would also hope that we would be able to connect w/ people we would not have otherwise met and start a friendship. Well thats it for now. I will keep praying about Psalmryders and where it will go. thank you Lord, I'm stepping out of the boat and walking towards you. Love you Lord , psalmryder out,,,,

Prayer rides

In the future as we come closer to nicer weather I will like to plan some Prayer group rides. If you know of a church or family that needs the hand of God move for them maybe we can take a group ride and pray for them. It doesn't nessacerily have to be a person, it can be a church that needs help in prayer over powers and principalties of their city or town. Maybe we can make a hospital visit and pray for the sick,,,I am open to any ideas, again contact me at psalmryders@comcast.net

PSALMRYDERS

-Riding On gods Word-

Eph4:4

Psalm 1

Psalms 1:1-6
1 Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.

3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.

4 Not so the wicked!
They are like chaff
that the wind blows away.

5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

6 For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish.

The Lord has called us as Christians to separate ourselves from the things of this world. To be in the world but not of it. In doing so our desires must change, what once was what I wanted for my life and what I wanted to do has changed. It changed when I gave my life to the Lord and to be used by him. In verse 1 it states about our joy when we do not follow the advice of the wicked or stand around w/ sinners. There are many times since I have been saved that I would hang out w/ my old so called friends or new ones that our conversation would turn to stuff that has no place or value. I will not lie some of those things are funny but it did nothing towards lifting up God, our fellow men/women or ourselves. We should seperate ourselves for a reason, to rejuvinate, to get closer to God and many other things. If you continually play in mud , your always going to come out muddy. So when that happens we have to clean ourselves off. We clean ourselves off by reading Gods word, he tells us to renew the mind ROM 12-2. (A good book for that is Battlefield of the mind, by Joyce Meyers ) If we hang out w/ them long enough guess what? sometimes our old desires and other stuff comes back. We have to be weary of these things, lest we fall back into our old lifestyle which only leads to destruction MATH 7:14.

It then says in verse 2-3 , we delight in his word, not in ourselves, not in our wives or kids, in his word. I love my wife and kids and myself to death but guess what we/ I have to learn to take delight in Gods word, its there to help us, guide us, lead us into a closer relationship w/ God. In those precious words we need to delight, cause when everything fails even ourselves that is all we have to turn to. So lets take delight in his word if you read it you will see that God wins in the end. I have to go now. I hope somehow this helps/comforts you in whatever your going through in this life journey. I am just a plain man willing to be used by God, I am not schooled or a rocket scientist I am just a simply man being used by an extraordinary God. If you have any inputs feel free to comment. If its one thing I learned in life I feel is to take constructive criticism. If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. Big difference.

Well till next time Psalmryder signing out, be safe , Be still and know that he is God!!!

P.S.

As you ride try to listen for God , see where he wants to take you or maybe he might put someone you haven't thought about in years, say a prayer for them, it can only help. Maybe he will show you what needs to be prayed for in your city, or state, or church.

Praying

Well as I was praying last night. I was praying about some stuff. I felt led into what I'm going to writer about on this blog. The Lord placed in my heart "riding on God's word". So here we are "PSALMRYDERS- Riding on God's Word". I will start with little tidbits and will start w/ the book of Psalms. This will be either just the passage or sometimes I might just write what I feel about the passage. I felt to do this so if anyone who reads this might get a little piece of Gods word, which can only help us. Hopefully as soon asi get responses from local churches, and you know what it really doesn't have to be local churches because of the gift of the internet. So where ever you are if your riding and have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, hit me up at psalmryders@comcast.net for an interview, if you can send me a pic of you and your bike. ok here we go.

Heads up

In a effort to give God glory, My family and I are in the process of starting up a christian clothing e-commerce store. We feel that the Lord is leading me to be a businessman. Well this e-commerce venture is our, my first step of faith. I read and can read all day but its not enough, you have to finally make that jump off the cliff and get things going. So our venture is called Hohg Clothing Co. , www.hohgco.com. We are in the process of setting up the site and such and we are hoping to get it up and running before summer gets here. We would like to be the main source for Delawareans in christian clothing. So keep checking and keep a look out for the site. If you feel led by the Lord to help, in any way contact me at hohgco@comcast.net.

Later

no riding

Well thanks to the snow here in DE, looks like its going to be some more time before, I get to take the bike out. I just got a cool leather moto jacket made by power trip its the dtp model black. that sucker is bad!!! i must say. I am particular in the style i wear. The kicker that I most like is that I only paid $80.00 for it,,a leather you can't beat that. Its a size 44. and that gives me enough room I'm 5'4'' 185lbs. the 42 was just too tight. Well If your wondering I got it from www.newenough.com , these guys are pretty spot on with the stuff they sell, good reviews on size and fit of products. If you go and by something just tell him you heard about them from this blog. thanks.
Also I don't know if you guys/gals are into MMA but I love watchin' it,,here is where I go to see my fights on the net www.myvideofight.com
They have alot of fights posted and good quality. Check them out. again if you sign up let know you heard it here from my blog,,thanks. later I don't get any kickbacks from them these are just some sites I go to. I'm pretty sure it might help in the future. If not oh well. later for now...

Well my prayers go out to Our military branches and Law enforcment!!!
ROMANS 13:1-5
Be safe , be strong, be brave!!!!

I would like to interview them on why they serve the Lord and why they ride, any good spots, places too eat, stunters, mechanics anything and almost everything,,,,haha

Hello all,,
I'm back again so, So what I would like to accomplish with this blog is to give God glory and hopefully help others come to know Jesus Christ and how he has affected our lives. I would also like to make friends and help promote Christian moto business'. In the coming days I will be contacting local churches who have motorcycle riders. My contact email is psalmryders@comcast.net, so if your interested in or know any christian moto riders give them my email and I will set up a time and date for an interview. If you know of any christian business in the delaware area that are christians or support christian moto riders let me know. So again stay tuned ,,,for more bloggs,,,I was thinking of interviewing my self first but would that be too self absorbed? I think so, so I won't do that. On my pages will be some links of business or links I frequent feel free to email me some that you think i might find interesting. thanks...

1st blog

hello to everyone, I have started this blog in order to promote the christian motorcyclists. I have been debating on what actually to do. I have so many ideas in my head but , I guess the most important step to take is to actually go ahead and take that 1st step in faith and see where the Lord will take it.

A little bit about myself.

I am saved , by that I mean I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior. I do not claim to know everything, but my wife might tell you differ. Your choice to believe her or me ;). At times I might be ignorant and sometimes not. At times I may have a view and it may not necessarily be right but hey I 'm only human. My wife says I have to improve on my empathy and I agree to a certain extent. I do strive to be more like Jesus Christ each and everyday. I must say ever since I have accepted Jesus into my life it has been a real roller coaster ride. No matter how many times I have run away from him, he continually welcomes me with open arms. I am glad to say that running away from his not as frequent as it once was but now I'm dealing w/ trusting him and what he wants to do in my life. I attend Cathedral Of Praise church in Felton,DE www.copdelaware.org. This church is another testimony to Gods faithfulness to us. You should come check us out. My Pastor's name is "pup" to me, Pastor Bob for the rest. Pup & Ma have been a true blessing to my wife and I, and our kids. I love you guys. Our assistant Pastor is Adam, or as my wife and I call him "Padam", inside joke but he is another man of God that I look up to for his humbleness and reality of life and God. I can't forget his wife "frenchie", my wife and I are real original. When we first met them some years back we found out she was french-canadian, hence "Frenchie", we love these guys too and do not fault Padam that he married a maple leaf person. Our associate Pastor is Pastor Martin, a man after Gods heart. he has a tremendous faith in the Lord's healing work and power, his wife is Becky, we call her "Beckham" as in "Bend it like Beckham" the movie or "Mother Beckham", no she does not play soccer. She truly loves the Lord and you should hear her tell a story, she gets into it, they both have awesome children, hey guys;). I can truly say that these guys are my family. Good or bad they're there. Thanks guys. You should come on down and meet them! I do not praise man but I give credit where its due. There are other people and sorry If I missed you but we love you the same.

Now back to my blog "PSALM RYDERS".

I have wanted a motorcycle for as long as I can remember. At first it was because my older brother had one and I thought, hey my brother is so cool. My older brother left Brooklyn,NY and joined the Airforce. After I believe about a year or more in the military my brother brought a motorycle, I believe it was a blue white and pink, kawasaki 500 before they started calling it the ninja 500. So I think from that day on I have always wanted to grow up and get one. Many years have passed since that day back in 90's. Fast forward to today and I have my own bike. At first I wanted a crotch rocket but insurance, family and cost to fix it when i drop it, I decided on the Suzuki SV650s. I fell in love w/ it when it first came out and then when the second gen came out I definitley had to have one. So the Lord lined things up and I brought home a used 2003 sv650's burnt orange color,,that color is so phat, at least to me. Any ways I have been riding for about two years and I love it. The sense of freedom I have when I ride is amazing,, an experience all should try. Well I love riding and take the bike out whenever I can. My reason on starting this blog is to promote friendship between fellow christian riders and those who are not it doesn't matter ,, well it does if you care where your soul ends up!!! stay tuned for more family business pulls me away kids need a bath,,,
